It’s a trip that most certainly won’t disappoint, what with its tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains, and exotic species of flora and fauna. After you check in at a hill resort, your afternoon schedule is packed with exploring this quiet hill station. On the agenda is a visit to Raja Mala, the highest peak in Munnar; the Eravikulam National Parkk, which is home to the rare Nilgiri tahr, also known as the Nilgiri ibex; also on the trip itinerary and an absolute must-see is the spectacular Mattupetty dam, which, due to its continuous source of water, is a hang-out spot for a variety of animals. When in Munnar, it is absolutely essential that you do the one thing that is unique to Kerala towns – visit the tea plantations! And Munnar has them in droves!. Then there is the self-explanatory Echo Point which certainly is something to look forward to. Overnight stay at Munnar.
